TOM FORD OBSESSION

Last night, Hollywood welcomed Tom Ford to Rodeo Drive. Ford opened his boutique on the famous shopping mecca with several of Tinseltown's elite. Elizabeth Banks, Rosario Dawson, and Kristin Davis. Most kept it simple in black, metallics, with animal print details. Only the best for the favorite designer, Tom Ford. Stars & Stylists were treated to the exclusive debut of his first flagship store in the landmark Beverly Hills.

SMELL LIKE THE 90210

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) -- Want to smell like you're rich?
The City of Beverly Hills is launching its own line of perfumes this week. It's part of the city's plan to turn its trademark shield logo into a brand.

A three-perfume set, made in Switzerland, is the initial product in a series of expected items. It goes on sale in January in department stores for $120. Men will have their chance to smell like a million bucks when Beverly Hills cologne goes on sale later in the year for $75. And skin treatments and cosmetics will expand the line. Beverly Hills Mayor Jimmy Delshad says the new line is a perfect fit for the city because he says, "This is a center of fashion, sophistication, energy." Beverly Hills, the local Chamber of Commerce and the marketing firm will split royalty proceeds.

RIP DR. FRANK RYAN

I just learned that one of my colleagues in a company that I am a Fashion Expert for, EndlessYouthandLife.com, passed away last night. Celebrity plastic surgeon best known for performing several surgeries on Heidi Montag, Dr. Frank Ryan, was involved in a car accident died on Monday. According to The Associated Press, Ryan died after his car fell from a cliff in Malibu on Monday.


The California Highway Patrol told the AP that his 1995 Jeep Wrangler fell off the side of the Pacific Coast Highway and fell on its roof. No cause of death had been established at press time and an autopsy was expected to take place on Tuesday (August 17).

"We are all in shock," Ryan's rep told People. "He was such a hardworking, philanthropic man, a loving son, and responsible for changing many people's lives for the better. He will be missed by many."

TMZ reported that the 50-year-old doctor was trapped inside his vehicle and suffered from major head injuries. He was pronounced dead after Ventura County Fire Department tried to lift his out with a helicopter.

In addition to famously working on "Hills" star Montag, Ryan's other patients included Vince Neil, Gene Simmons, reality TV personality Adrianne Curry and Lorenzo Lamas. Montag took to her Twitter page to express her condolences.

"I am devastated to hear the news of Dr. Frank Ryan's death. He was the most amazing person I have ever known. He was an angel and changed my life and the lives of everyone he met. He was the most brilliant talented surgeon who will ever exist. Dr. Frank Ryan changed the world," Montag wrote on Tuesday. My thoughts and prayers go out to his mother, family, friends, and anyone who was ever blessed enough to meet him," she continued. "He is in a better place. FYI Dr. Ryan never drank, never smoked, he's never done drugs this was something everyone knows about him. He was always on call 24/7."

It's Official, I am the new Fashion Editor for Beverly Hills Lifestyle Magazine! I am so excited for this opportunity. Five years ago, I left the Sunshine State for the Golden State where dreams are made! Kinda like Dorothy, I was on a mission and well I ended up in Beverly Hills after a few obstacles that I overcame. I dusted off my Marc Jacobs leather coat and am sashaying into a new position with the #1 Luxury Magazine in SoCal. Yes, move over GenLux, LA Confidential, and C magazine, . . .if you want all things divine, decadent, and delicious, . . .you will turn the glossy and high quality pages that are Beverly Hills Lifestyle magazine. I am joining an elite team of Tastemakers in my own city. Yes, the 90210 is getting a new Fashion Editor and I am getting another amazing opportunity to work for a magazine that I truly believe in. Special thanks to Kimi Applegate, Mark Kurian, Doug McLaughlin and the whole BHL mag crew for welcoming me into this family! I am excited for what the Winter 2010 issue will hold. But in the meantime, be on the lookout for the Fall 2010 issue with the insatiable Kathy Ireland on the cover (scroll down to see the BTS photos from the shoot at the Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara, California). The unbelievably gorgeous supermodel Kathy Ireland was chosen as the cover for the Fall 2010 issue of Beverly Hills Lifestyle magazine and I was asked to style. This model now mogul is as sweet as she is pretty and hasn't aged since 1988. This fierce female who most remember for her Sports Illustrated photo took a step back into time to Old Hollywood glamour. Here are a few sneak peeks of what's to come, . . .

I FELL HARD

I wish I could say that I fell hard for a certain someone, but instead, I was moving out of my old apartment into my new place and fell down the stairs while I was carrying a box. Severe sprains on both ankles and hairline fracture on my right foot. Ouch! Aircasts are soo not cute, . . .but I have the best orthopedic doctor in Beverly Hills, Dr. Raj! He works with the A-List and taught me about R.I.C.E. Do you know that this is a R.I.C.E. is carb-free?? R.I.C.E. stands for Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation. Doctor's orders for the next 14 days! The plus side is that 2 days before I fell, I got a pedi! (The color is Essie's "Vintage Wine")

Carrie Bradshaw eat your heart out! It may not be Manhattan, but it's Beverly Hills baby! Here is my new piece of heaven in the 90210 and guess who lives a block away from me? American Idol's own Simon Cowell! I love this place, all hardwood floors and crown-molding, the walls were artistically painted for me. Perfect place for me to call home, . . .welcome to my new crib!
